This web site is for the benefit of the many parent led organizations which contribute so much of their time and energy to benefit the children of our school district.

Like many of you, I have been involved in various school clubs and organizations for a number of years. A few years ago I was asked to setup a web site for the newly formed Liberty Volleyball Booster Club.

I looked for “free” web sites but found them too restrictive, inflexible, and they often contained advertisements for which I had no direct control. I would obviously want the site linked to from the main Frisco ISD site and that brought me to the Frisco ISD guidelines for listing booster club web sites:

• School appropriate content, links and ads
• No links to sites that do not have direct control over banner ads and pop-ups
• No links to sites listed as Under Construction
• Reasonably up to date content
• Please provide a link back to the schools web page
• Sponsor approval. “Official Site of ….”

That sent me looking for “hosted” sites which I could control. These sites typically cost around $80 to $100 per year and with each school having 15 or so booster club sites that just seems like a big waste of money to me. So I decided to purchase a site and offer it for the use of Frisco ISD organizations.
