Posts: Creating a new post
The software package running our website is called WordPress and it requires a userid/password in order to submit posts. If you have the need to post calendar events or bulletins please contact our webmaster for a userid.
Posts appear on the front page and also in RSS Feeds. Here are some simple instructions on submitting a simple post:
- Click Posts under Meta on the user site or in the left menu bar if you are already on the admin screen.
- Click the Add New link under Posts in the left menu.
- Enter a title into the top box
- Using the editor, enter your message
- Use the Preview button to check your message (it will open in a new window)
- Use the big blue Publish (or Update) button to submit your message
That’s all there is to it. If you made an error, you can always go back into the system and edit or even delete the prior entry.
