Minutes from Liberty Booster Club Meeting, Jan. 22, 2009:

  • Meeting was called to order by Luci Wade-Cantu at 6:03 p.m.

  • Luci started the meeting by introducing the Liberty Soccer Booster Club Board and the Coaches. We are still looking for someone to fill the vacancies of Vice President and Fundraiser Coordinator.

  • David Hirt, webmaster, described how the web site worked, and gave information on the posting of all pictures, information,statistics and schedules. Also, you can go directly to the web site and see where volunteers are needed to fill spots for concessions, filming and scoreboard.

  • Donna Hirt, food coordinator, spoke of how the Chick-fila program worked and how to still sign up your son.

  • Coach Kaiser said the schedule of practices would be picking up, He then had each soccer player stand and introduce themselves and what team they were on, also if they played on a additional select or recreational team.

  • Luci then asked about working at Pizza Hut Park, if the majority thought it was a good idea, and asked if we would have enough volunteers. We would do one venue and see how that worked. Talked about the upcoming Sonic fundraiser. Also noted our Feb. 15th event at STRIKZ, from 6-10 p.m.. 20% of sales go towards our fundraiser.

  • Bobbi Bracco, membership, talked about the importance of joining the Booster Club, and the benefits it will be bringing as far as the banquet, and the additional opportunity for the scholarships for the senior playe rs.

  • Brenda Tighe, treasurer, presented the budget for approval. We are tax-exempt, and all set up.

  • Luci asked for donations for the banquet. If anyone knows of any company willing to donate, it is a contribution, and can be written off as a donation. Also, if anyone has any suggestions on where it can be held.

  • Meeting was adjourned at 6:43 p.m.
