Liberty Redhawk Volleyball Coaching Staff

Coach U’iLani Womble joined Liberty High School as the HEAD VOLLEYBALL COACH in its 2006 inaugural year, where the school opens with only freshman and sophomore students/athletes. She has both the playing and coaching experience to build a competitive volleyball program at Liberty High School. She played club & high school volleyball and then continued competing at the university level at Tarleton State University, where she led her team as Captain both her junior and senior years. She has coached all levels of high school volleyball–freshman, JV and Varsity. She was Head Coach at Corpus Christi Ray High School, then coached at Flower Mound High School. Most recently, she has experience of building a volleyball program at Frisco ISD’s Centennial High School that also started with only lower classmen. She coached both JV and Varsity level players. The CHS team was just one win away from qualifying for the State Tournament in the program’s third year. Her passion for the sport continues year round or during the high school off-season as evidenced by her involvement in the Skyline Volleyball Club Team. This club team continues to produce top high school players in the DFW area. Coach Womble is married to Richard and they have a son, Makoa along with their two dogs, Bruce & Zu. |

Katie Schnitzius Rackley was born and raised in Lewisville, Texas. She graduated from Lewisville High School in 1998 and then from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2001 with an Education Degree. Katie played volleyball for all four years on a scholarship, and also met her husband Josh at Southeastern. After college Katie’s first job was at Durham Middle School in Lewisville. She taught there for 3 years then proceeded to The Colony High School. Her only year at The Colony she coached the freshman volleyball team and was the varsity assistant to the State Champion Girls Soccer team. This will be Katie’s second year with Liberty as she teaches Health and Physical Education and coaches’ volleyball and track. Her club coaching experience has been with Victory, North Texas Juniors, and TAV for three years. Josh and Katie’s days are filled with work and playing with their 2 year old English bulldog named Tonka. |

Nicole Barnes graduated from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in math. This will be her 4th year to coach; she coached at Palmer for 2 years, then she was at Scurry-Rosser last year. She got married on June 30th to Michael, and they live in Aubrey with their 2 dogs, Diesel and Rocco. |

Rebekah Cate was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. She played spftball at Cisco Junior College and then graduated from Texas Tech University in May 2006. She taught in Westbrook for her first two years before moving to Frisco. She lives in McKinney with her dog Audie. |
